REJOICE AND BE GLAD

Michael Connell and Kathleen Radke are just two of the stars in a “show like no other” in Sault Ste. Marie, at the Sault Community Theatre Centre on October 21st at 7 pm.  Kathleen will sing with St. Luke’s Cathedral Choir under the direction of Stephen Mallinger; selections of her choice with Michael accompanying, plus a vocal duet with  Michael  who accompanies the entire show.  The talented Mr. Connell will sing a few of his favourite songs as a soloist.  Also on the bill are the wonderful duo Laura Strum, violin and Bruce Douville, piano.   The Cathedral Choir and Mr. Mallinger will have completed their fourth singing tour in the UK this summer singing at Great St Mary’s, Cambridge; St. Edmundsbury and Norwich Cathedrals.  Past trips have included singing services and concerts at over a dozen of England’s cathedrals and chapels  including St. Paul’s – London, St. George’s Chapel – Windsor Castle, Salisbury, Winchester, Rochester, Lincoln and Canterbury;  plus St. Mary’s in Edinburgh, Scotland and St. Patrick’s, Dublin, Ireland.  This cast of exceptional musicians will help weave Canada’s story with Canadian songs in the midst of the Cathedral Players’ drama, poetry, dance, black light puppets and story-telling.  Also joining us is noted author Michael John DiSanto who will read WWII selections from his highly acclaimed book The Complete Poems of George Whalley.

There is a silent auction in support of charity Children’s Aid Society of Algoma’s Youth in Care Education Assistance Fund.
